Oral history, 1986.

Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 6 November 1986. Floyd talks about growing up in Southern California with a black father and a white mother. He tells of his mother's membership in the Mormon Church, his father's later conversion, and explains his decision to join that Church. He comments on his courtship, marriage, and the impact of the Mormon Church on his present life.
